Knowledge Class is a Java servlet-based knowledge organizing tool tailored to individual users'
interests and needs. Similar to a classified mini thesaurus, each knowledge class consists of
a hierarchically structured collection of controlled or natural language terms on a particular
discipline, such as chemistry or physics; or a specific topic, such as financial investment or
information retrieval.
Some features of Knowlege Class include:
- A hierarchical structure of subject terms with multiple levels
- Static and dynalic links associated to the subject terms
- Built in connections to multiple search engines
- Web-based editing tools for the hierarchy and the links
- Import/Export from/to XML topic maps.
